Ikedaya has done many things that would not normally be done, such as changing the manufacturing process and creating parts that do not exist in the world, based on the concept of "creating simple products with maximum functionality and no waste" and "pursuing user-friendliness to the utmost limit."

The creator's thoughts
Ikedaya began as a small bag shop in Shizuoka Prefecture. During the postwar reconstruction period, we devoted ourselves to refining our products each day, always striving to make them more user-friendly and durable.
Guided by this mindset, we developed numerous original ideas, such as, “If we improve this part, it will last longer,” or “If we adjust this feature, it will be easier to use.”
These concepts were never left as mere ideas. Instead, we approached each one from the user’s perspective, bringing them to life through thoughtful planning, creativity, and dedication. This unwavering commitment defines Ikedaya—not just as a seller, but as a true manufacturer.
