Terms of Use



This Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as 'these Terms') defines the terms and conditions for using the Ikedaya Global Online Shop (hereinafter referred to as 'the Service') operated by Ikedaya Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'we' or 'the Company').

Article 1. Applicability These Terms apply to all relationships related to the use of the Service between the user and the Company.

Article 2. User Registration Users shall apply for user registration in accordance with the methods prescribed by the Company, and user registration shall be completed upon approval by the Company. The Company may not approve the application for user registration if it determines that there are any of the following reasons, and shall not be obligated to disclose the reasons:

  • If false information is provided in the application for user registration.
  • If the applicant has violated these Terms.
  • If the Company deems the registration inappropriate for any other reason.

Article 3. Management of User ID and Password Users shall be responsible for managing their user ID and password for the Service. Users shall not transfer or lend their user ID and password to any third party. If a combination of a user ID and password matches the registered information and is logged in, it will be deemed to be used by the user who registered that user ID.

Article 4. Purchase of Goods If a user wishes to purchase goods, the user shall apply for the purchase or use of goods in accordance with the separate methods specified by the Company. By clicking the button to order after confirming the delivery address, order details, etc. entered or registered by the user, and upon receipt of an email from the Company confirming the order details, a sales contract regarding the goods shall be concluded between the user and the Company. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, if there is fraudulent or inappropriate conduct related to the use of the Service, the Company may cancel or revoke the sales contract and take other appropriate measures. The delivery of goods through the Service is limited to within Japan.

Article 5. Payment Methods The payment amount for goods includes the purchase price of goods including consumption tax and handling fees. Payment for goods purchased through the Service shall be made only by credit card in the name of the user or by other payment methods approved by the Company. In the case of payment by credit card, users shall comply with the separate terms and conditions agreed between the user and the credit card company. In the event of any dispute related to the use of a credit card, users and credit card companies shall resolve it responsibly.

Article 6. Return, Exchange, Withdrawal, and Cancellation of Orders Returns of goods shall be accepted only in the following cases:

  • If the goods have defects.
  • If goods different from the ordered items arrive.
  • If goods are damaged during delivery.

Article 7. Prohibited Acts Users shall not engage in the following acts when using the Service:

  • Acts that violate laws or public order and morals.
  • Acts related to criminal activities.
  • Acts that disrupt or interfere with the function of the Company's servers or networks.
  • Acts that may interfere with the operation of the Company's services.
  • Acts of collecting or accumulating personal information of other users.
  • Acts of impersonating other users.
  • Acts of providing direct or indirect benefits to antisocial forces related to the Company's services.
  • Other acts deemed inappropriate by the Company.

Article 8. Suspension of Service Provision, etc. The Company may suspend or interrupt all or part of the provision of the Service without prior notice to users if it determines any of the following reasons:

  • Maintenance, inspection, or updating of the computer system for the Service.
  • Difficulty in providing the Service due to force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning, fires, power outages, or natural disasters.
  • Suspension of computers or communication lines due to accidents.
  • Any other reason where the Company deems it difficult to provide the Service.

The Company shall not be liable for any disadvantages or damages incurred by users or third parties due to the suspension or interruption of the provision of the Service.

Article 9. Restriction on Use and Deletion of Registration The Company may restrict the use of all or part of the Service or delete the registration of a user without prior notice in the following cases:

  • If the user violates any provision of these Terms.
  • If it is found that there are false facts in the registered information.
  • If the Company deems the use of the Service inappropriate for any other reason.

The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users as a result of actions taken by the Company under this Article.

Article 10. Disclaimer The Company shall be exempt from liability for non-performance of obligations if it is not due to intentional or gross negligence of the Company. Even if the Company is liable for some reason, it shall be liable for damages only within the scope of normal damages and, in the case of paid services, within the equivalent amount of fees (or the amount equivalent to one month in the case of continuous services).

The Company shall not be responsible for transactions, communications, disputes, etc. arising between users and other users or third parties in connection with the Service.

Article 11. Changes in Service Content, etc. The Company may change the content of the Service or suspend the provision of the Service without notifying users, and shall not be liable for any damages caused to users as a result.

Article 12. Changes to Terms of Use The Company may change these Terms at any time without prior notice as deemed necessary.

Article 13. Notice or Contact Notifications or contacts between users and the Company shall be made in the manner specified by the Company.

Article 14. Prohibition of Assignment of Rights and Obligations Users may not assign their position under the usage agreement or rights or obligations based on these Terms to a third party or pledge them without the prior written consent of the Company.

Article 15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction The interpretation of these Terms shall be governed by Japanese law.

In the event of any dispute regarding the Service, the exclusive jurisdiction shall be the court having jurisdiction over the Company's principal place of business.
